Twain is awesome. I should really find time to read more of his stuff.

Right after the Ph.D. is completed, that is.

I highly recommend it. Read some of his essays or travel books, too. Those don't get enough attention.

I believe I read an essay by him in a collection of American humor my parents gave me. I have a vague recollection that it was a sarcastic critique of James Fenimore Cooper's writing.

Ah, sagacious Wikipedia shows it was "Fenimore Cooper's Literary Offenses". Good stuff.
