You Are Here
I'm often asked, "Hey, where are we?" Here's my standard response:

We're on a planet that orbits Sol, which is located in the Orion arm of the Milky Way galaxy. The Milky Way is part of the Local Group, which is a group of galaxies in the much larger Virgo Supercluster. The Virgo Supercluster is found in the Universe:

Our universal zip code is 3876100824951130703951-200056. If you've driven past the Coma Cluster, you've gone too far. I usually just remember to turn left at the Vaal-Mart.

The Black (former) Jedi Knight Always Triumphs!
This video makes me wonder whether a parallel universe made Star Wars but used John Cleese as the voice talent rather than James Earl Jones. Because, in that universe, James Earl Jones was the tall, threatening guy in Monty Python.

Monday Non-New Wave: Two-Hit Wonders
With the Moose at points unknown, we've decided to highlight a very unheralded musical entity: the two-hit wonder. While one-hit wonders have had books written about them and a VH-1 show dedicated to them, the two-hit wonder has sadly languished in undeserved obscurity. Until now.
Blue Öyster Cult may seem like an odd choice for this category, given their long and storied career. However, while they have had several "radio hits" (Godzilla, Joan Crawford), they have had two songs in the top 40: Don't Fear the Reaper:
and Burnin' For You.
Dutch band Golden Earring are primarily known for their huge 1973 hit Radar Love. They were unable to match that success until 1982, when Twilight Zone became one of the first MTV hits.
Donnie Iris, while far less well known (outside the Ohio River valley) than the other two artists, could actually claim greater success in singles. While in The Jaggerz, he wrote the #2 song The Rapper (I have no idea what the song refers to, it pre-dated Hip-Hop by at least 6 years). However, his solo career had two notable singles: Love is Like a Rock and Ah, Leah:
