In an alternative universe, season six of Firefly included a story arc involving William Shatner. Part of the arc includes him nailing all of the female leads (Wash was killed in season 4 by a giant spike).

Wash and Book died in the movie? I know the pilot (sorry, can't remember who he was) was killed. I didn't remember seeing anyone else die.And yeah, watching it again recently, I was struck by how libertarian the themes of that movie were.
Wash was impaled; Book was killed with the rest of his community. He died insulting Mal. With love.
Oh, right - Book was played by Ron Glass. My bad.
Little known fact: If Firefly and continued, Whedon was going to reveal that Book was, in fact, Detective Ron Harris.

The only issue I have with this mash-up is that Wash and Book aren't wearing red shirts.
