One-Eyed Odin evaluating Urkobold poster/lab whore smacky and being pleased.On the heels of yesterday's revelation that young smacky, the entire female component (not counting gorillas, that is) of the Urkobold Interactive, LLC operation, is devoted to Klaus Kinski, the original Techno Viking, One-Eyed Odin has decided to reward smacky with a divine favor. He shall reincarnate Herr Kinski in the form most pleasing to young smacky.

I hate to say I haven't seen him in his cowboy role yet. I downloaded the Fistful of Dollars trilogy over the summer, but haven't worked my way through it yet. I didn't even know he was in a Clint Eastwood movie until I was reviewing his credentials after yesterday's post. Any film that has Clint Eastwood and Klaus Kinski as nemeses has to be good.

I'm sick of all these Hollywood playboy types. We need more frothy megalomaniacs on the silver screen. Klaus was a true pioneer.
I foresee a day when actors and actresses will be totally insane and will have to be brought onto set in cages. Each take, the actor will be surrounded by men with cattle prods.
Too bad Kinski's dead, because he really would be perfect to play the Urkobold in a biopic. Or in the Trolliad

I think they already do that with Rosie O'Donnell and Michael Moore.

smacky - you've never seen the Leone films? At the risk of sounding like a very different cartoon animal, they're great!
Also, if you like Fistful of Dollars, check out Akira Kurosawa's Yojimbo, which was the film Leone ripped off to make Fistful.
I'm with BP--all those spaghetti westerns rule.
I know, I know! I meant to watch so many Western classics last summer. I fell drastically short of my goal, but I intend to amend this incrementally.
Don't forget to watch the later ones that Eastwood directed. They're pretty good, too.
Outlaw Josey Wales is very good, but for me, High Plains Drifter is the best Western evah. A bleak, almost existential tale of revenge.
smacky - it's funny, a year ago, I had a similar thing about catching up with Westerns. I'd seen the spaghetti westerns, but I'd never seen Stagecoach, The Searchers, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, Johnny Guitar, etc.
Ford is good, but I still prefer Eastwood or Leone.
