What Have You Given Lately?

The following post contains images of a gruesome nature and is not suitable for people with weak stomachs or children under the age of 17, unless accompanied by a parent, in which case it would be OK for them to watch even porn if you let them.

First, and foremost, I would like to thank Mr. Steven Crane for the selfless sacrifice he made to The Urkobold&trade not so long ago. Without said taintal sacrifice, I might not have had the pleasure of keeping my taint intact after this weekend's cycling accident. The following pictures show the grisly result of my endo after trying to navigate a bicycle down a flight of stairs.

Body parts sacrificed to The Urkobold&trade for the benefit of others:

And, almost head / skull
(notice the scratches on the left side of the picture / right side of helmet)

Fortunately, I never ride without my helmet. Unfortunately, I didn't escape head injury altogether this weekend. The following day, while making repairs at a rental property, I managed to walk into a 2x6 that was sticking out of the back of the truck. It struck me square in the forehead, leaving a nasty little bruise.

And, best of all, Florida Blood Services called today asking for my blood. I told them they could find it on a sidewalk near the Museum of Art in Tampa...

Make sure you do your part! Sacrifice a body part today!

The bit about the blood is great!

Give blood, people. It is one of the easiest things you can do to help your fellow humans.

I agree, but please remember not to drink alcohol the day after you give blood. You have no tolerance--I learned this the hard way!

get better!

will you be wearing the Mr. Steven Crane taint hood as well?

Are you joking? Of course you need to drink after giving blood! Load up on food and water right after, then have a good time that very night by being a cheap drunk. I would avoid anything stronger than beer, especially shots.

I agree with blood is an easy way to help others. I had been donating regularly (every 8 weeks, I believe) since I was around 18 years old (10 years now). However, I've had to take a six month hiatus due to my most recent tattoo (they won't allow you to donate in that period of time). During those six months, I have had a call from Florida Blood Services at least once every two weeks. They are worse than creditors!

I also agree that drinking on the same night of the donation helps save some dough. I don't know what Cesar is thinking.

And, VM, I won't need the taint hood since my taint was left completely unharmed. Again, thanks to Mr. Steven Crane's sacrifice.

Ah, see, that was my mistake. Two years ago my college had a blood drive. I gave blood at noon, and at 6 went out with friends to a bar. After a second shot of tequila, my friends said I just started laughing the fell off the bar stool. After that, things get a bit fuzzy.

Argh! Another friend just had a bike accident, too. He's in a cast, too.

Get well soon, M.E.!
